It is specifically designed for use in laminectomies in which a portion of the vertebral arch is removed posteriorly. This allows for increased access to the spinal cord and allow for increased visualization of surgical field. This rongeur is available in two lengths 7″ and 8″ and a variety of angles and bite widths making it suitable for almost any patient need or surgeon preference.
